Rakhmad Dewanto is a seasoned professional with deep expertise in the Indonesian energy and power sectors. A graduate of the Faculty of Economics at the University of Indonesia, he began his career at TOTAL E&P Indonesie, a subsidiary of TotalEnergies S.A. Over his 15-year tenure, he held key roles within the Commercial Business Development Division, including Head of Gas Revenue Controller, Head of Market Research, and Head Export & Domestic Gas Sales Department. In 2018, he joined Pertamina Hulu Mahakam as Commercial Business Development & Strategic Planning Manager, before being appointed as Vice President Commercial of PT Pertamina Hulu Indonesia in 2020. The following year, in 2021, he was entrusted as Director of Operations & Commercial at PT Nusantara Regas, the operator of the Floating Storage & Regasification Terminal in West Java. He advanced to Director of Gas and Fuel in September 2022 and was subsequently appointed as Chief Executive Officer of PT PLN Energi Primer Indonesia, a Sub-holding of PLN responsible for primary energy management comprising of coal, gas/LNG, fuel, biomass and hydrogen. Beyond his corporate leadership, Rakhmad actively engages in the natural gas industry association. He was elected as Secretary General of the Indonesian Gas Society (IGS) in 2018 and was appointed as Vice Chairman in 2024. IGS is the leading industry association comprising 25 companies across upstream, midstream, downstream and natural gas buyers in Indonesia, and is a charter member of the International Gas Union (IGU).
