Elio Ruggeri is the Executive Director of LNG at Snam.

In Snam since 2018, initially as Business Development Director. He has led Snam growth in the sector, taking operated regas capacity from 3.5 bcma to approximately 25 bcma, by means of both organic and inorganic initiatives. As part of his functions, he serves as CEO, or Executive Chairman of all Snam’s controlled regas infrastructures.

During his tenure in Snam, he has also managed Snam's participation in various European energy companies, serving as a board member of DESFA SA, of Interconnector UK and of Terega SAS.

Before joining Snam, he worked at Edison SpA for approximately 20 years where he held positions of increasing responsibilities along the gas value chain, last of which as Executive Director for Gas Supply Portfolio and Infrastructures.

Since June 2023, Elio has also been the President of Assocostieri, the leading Italian association for energy logistics with a pivotal role for firms working in the field of energy Terminals.
