Ville Hatakka joined Gasum in early 2019 from Nordea Bank. As a Chief LNG trader, Ville focuses on conventional and small-size LNG cargoes in Gasum, while also looking after natural gas wholesale customer accounts. His current role requires daily monitoring of the European energy landscape and how carbon reduction targets are in line with tools available now and in the future.

At Nordea Bank, he acquired 19 years of experience of Equity trading and Institutional Sales, both in managerial and sales positions. During his tenure at Nordea Bank, he was closely involved with Gas, Oil and Oil Services sectors. Ville is also a member of the Manga LNG terminal shareholders working group and he holds a Master of Science degree in Economics from the University of Tampere in Finland and has lived in the United States, United Kingdom and Finland.
